Not yet, I was going to call you but after talking to a few people they recommended I weld a nut over the hole and use a short bolt as a plug.

So I just ordered a M18x1.5 grade 8 hex nut thru Fastenal and picked up a new filler plug at the dealership. I was going to hit you up to see if you can weld it on but the nut won't be in until Monday so I'm going to have a local muffler shop do it while on my lunch this Monday.

I wish you would have let me know earlier...I just ordered the parts for myself and Goose on Saturday and they came in on Tuesday.

If you go to Visalia Toyota tomorrow they should get the parts by Monday.

    The part #'s are:

    Breather Plug: 90930-03136
    Union: 90404-51319

You will then need to get at least 7' of 1/4" fuel line and (2) 1/4" hose clamps.

Sounds good, should be an easy fix. After the new nut is welded on you may have to run a tap through it as it will most likely shrink from the heat. Another tip, tell them to put anti-seize on the new plug when they install it. If they can't do it let me know I'll do it for ya.:)

    Ok, thanks for the tips!

Would it be a good idea to leave the filler plug in when they weld the nut on?

NO, DO NOT LET THEM DO THIS you'll never get it out. Trust me, been doing this this stuff for 20+ years and I have seen the bolt stuck in the welded nut to many times, This is why you have to run the tap back through the nut after it is welded and cooled off completly. I'm not sure i would trust this job to a muffler shop, mufflers are way different than this and would hate to see you in a worse off situation than this already is. just lookin out for ya man.

Ok, thanks for the tip man! I'd have you do it but just short on time as it is already.

Have any other recommendations? or know anybody in Visalia that can do it? :D

We used to do some work for a welding shop in Tulare called Mayfair or Mayfield Welding something like that. Other than them I don't know anyone down there. I could make some calls tomorrow and see what I could find out. I may be able to get that nut here in fresno tomorrow.... or hell I could just make one :D just a thought and I could do it on sunday for ya

Yeah, that would be a big help! I never thought this would be such a big deal. I have thought about retapping the hole but I don't think it will hold up as I have already tapped it once. A couple auto shops also thought the same.

    BTW....You can make a M18 x 1.5 nut?!

Yup.. I will have to get the M18 x 1.5 tap and then I can make it in the lathe. I don't have that much in the way of metric taps, but I should be able to pic one up tomorrow. PM me your # and I'll call you tomorrow
