Thank you Sir... I'm thinking trading recipes instead of cat pics! Glad this is ending.

I honestly want it to be the 2025 Xtracab SR5 4x4. I love new. I will never ever see 100k miles on it. The availability of what I'm looking for is the issue and I'm not going to wait 6 months without a truck. Exploring options

You could get a new ford or chevy, you definitely won't see 100K miles on those either

There's gotta be that truck kicking around. Make a fun trip flying out to get it, bring the wifey or dog or buddy or Glenlevit 15.

used a broker to get what I wanted. Had to travel, but great price, and was the easiest car deal ever! Travel part was a bonus… FYI He prefers text messages. Tell him what you want, nothing to loose.

Niiiice. I would have worn some kind of shirt conveying that message instead perhaps haha..something like "Thank you fuck you bye!"

Can see that to a degree, I think it's that nowadays the Internet has made people and businesses comfortable being bellends.

Makes sense, though them refusing a rental at the dealer and then telling Toyota he declined is incensing..both because Bronzo was wheelless and that blatant lie.

Glenlevit 15 ?? I guess the dog is driving!!! I'm going to search everywhere and often and if something hits in a reasonable amount of time on a dealerships allocation I'll drop a deposit on it.

Thank you very much. I was going to search for that info. I used a broker back in NY and painless no b.s. transaction.

Did they reimburse you for the payments that you had to make while you couldn't drive the truck? Congrats on getting through this and for letting everyone know how the process works. There was a time when dealing with a Toyota dealership was a good experience, it seems like Toyota has become the GM dealerships of the 1980's.

Best luck with whatever you find next. I'm curious to see if you can get good use/functionality from the AC cab that doesn't have the rear doors.

They did give me back all my payments and every dime i dished out. I just lost the tax credit on the trade in which is not included in the lemon law. I gave that storage accessibility thing some thought. Having doors would definitely make life easier but for my everyday use I don't see a problem. I have a passenger about 10% of the time I drive and the way the passenger seat folds forward would be fine to grab a duffel or something. Setting up the rear compartment will be a fun project. Always have 6' of bed with a Diamondback cover (i put on all my pick ups) to put stuff in. I actually like the design and the way it looks from the outside. Just wish it had an opening rear window.

I took a Ranger for a test ride but I don't love the lines on that truck. Not thrilled with Chevy or GM. I've owned 7 fords in the last 25 years along with 10 Toyotas and overall I've loved much more about the Toyotas than the Ford... except for my 2020 Raptor Supercab with suicide doors.. best truck I ever owned. When I say I won't get 100k miles out of it I mean I don't put milage on a vehicle, maybe 10k a year.

It's a really tough call now to buy a pickup now. They all have their issues. Would you consider a low mileage 23-24 4Runner? Made in Japan. Last of its kind.

It's a tough call to buy a Tacoma. The new taco isn't even in the top 5 trucks I'd buy today.

    1. Ranger I4 2.3
    2. Frontier V6 NA
    3. F150 2.7
    4. F150 3.5 (tied at 3 and 4 to be fair)
    5. Ranger 2.7 TT V6
    6. Ranger 3.0 in the raptor
I think the taco hits number 7 at best, I might even put a gladiator above it. The turd gen, for all it's faults, I bought with my heart instead of my wallet and don't regret it. It was number 3, behind the Frontier and Ranger in terms of thinking with my brain and wallet. The new ones are not even close, in my opinion.

I traded in a 2022 4Runner TRD ORP with KDSS that I only owed $8k on! You know I wish I never did that now knowing what was ahead. I love the 4Runner and have had 4 of them including 2 TRD PROs. I just wanted what might be my last truck to be a pick up. It works much better for my lifestyle than an SUV. But if things change the 4Runner will be the vehicle I ride off into the sunset with!
