Toyota Tacoma 1st gen is golden
Nothing but usual broken things (latches, tailgate handle, door handles, lights and grill)
I wanna add a bit of height to my 96 Tacoma v6 5 lug, 2wd. She’s pretty low to the ground and damn would she benefit from some height (banging my head often). So far from having it for the past few days, everything is stock on her. No Frame rot and just surface rot from the alkaline here in the desert.

I just want to add a small lift so sometime in the future I can add bigger wheels and tires.

I want to know what experiences some may have had with the aal kits from various makers (Icon/Wheelers (or whatever rebrand there is, Torch, etc)

i wont be towing anything but may carry 300-400lbs of mobile trailer axels or spare tires. I have bigger trucks for these jobs and if anything this is gonna be a runner truck/somewhat of a beater that I will use for hunting during the slight off roading opportunities here in the deserts of souther california.

I just want a slight lift, nothing crazy like a 6 inch lift. Newbie here and this is my first sorta project truck and I wanna make use it of it in my day to day, but also not pay an excessive amount. Hence forth a budget I’ve set after spending $400 on lights, radiator and hoses, belts, new handles, latches for access cab windows, and lots of elbow grease tuning up some rough angles while my dad helps me with the more in depth mechanic work.
