    I drive mostly highway and dirt roads with some ocasional light off roading.
    Currently running stock suspension on
    Wheels = 17x9 -12 offset
    Tires = 265/65/17

    Bought some 265/70/17 (same type tires) and they are rubbing pretty bad.
    Same thing happened with my 3rd gen.

    Here's what I'm bolting on soon.
    Bilstein 6112/5100
    JBA UCA's
    ICON 1.5" add a leaf

    2 questions-
    1) What's the best 6112 clip position to maintain a ride similar to stock but still have good tire clearance and match the 1.5" add a leafs height?

    2) Will I need anything else to make sure Im not putting undue stress on other components?
    I.E. diff drop, shims, extended brake lines, bump stops, etc...

    Thanks in advance.

    8/6 or 9/7 It will be 1-1.4 lift in the front.
    I wouldn’t do, and you wont need UCA’s
    1.5 AAL probably won’t yield a full 1.5”. Mine settled at 1 1/8”.
    You won’t need any of that other stuff either.

    The tire rub is being caused by your wheel offset. A lift will not fix this problem.

    You are hitting the sweet spot on these trucks. 1-1.5” of actual lift is about perfect on these trucks. The alignment can still easily be done, no undue stress on the front drive line, and the drive shaft doesn’t need shims.

    Wheel offset is why you are rubbing not because of lift height. Lifting it will help it clear when you are parked but once you start moving it’ll likely rub again.
