I did an EEOC complaint over my treatment at my last job. I got a healthy payout and a letter of recommendation instead of the termination I could see they had planned for me.

My wife is pursuing a suit against her former employer. The process is fairly straightforward, and ends up almost automatically in arbitration if you can demonstrate that you meet certain criteria.

I’d talk to an attorney outside the union. Winning a lawsuit isn’t going to cost benefits or retirement if it’s anything like my situation. In fact, they had to pay out my accrued sick time and pay for my benefit package until I was hired at another school district. (24 hours it turns out.)

Good morning. The weatherman says there's a band of Lake Effect snow coming this morning that will put a few inches down. I've been waiting for it to snow when my grandson is home from school so can take him out to drive in the snow for the first time. Looks like this morning he's going to get his practice.

Good luck with the snow driving practice. A much needed skill for everyone, and one that many don’t get.

    Yup. Have fun.
Mom took me to an empty parking lot and had me drive in the snow. Still something I do when I get a new vehicle. They all react different so better to find that out when you got no one around to get in the way.
