    :rofl::rofl:

    Biggest reason I'm thinking about this swap also. I'll never need to do 100mph in reverse lol.

    We’re in! I struggled a bit with clearing the body, but it’s because the transmission wanted to rotate on the jack. Once I got it oriented up, it cleared the body and rolled right up. Then a little bit of fanagling and in it went.

    Paused for lunch break which will be a while because I’m borrowing the neighbor’s car to pick it up. So far it’s going pretty smooth. The wiring harness sure is a bitch (the top bolt at the bellhousing mainly is the bad one) and the upper accumulator support line bracket bolt is a real biatch. Between those two I spent probably 30-45 minutes. Then I got the rest of the harness routed and secured. Need to change the o-ring on the tcase and reinstall it. Then it’s just the easy stuff. Fluids, crossmember, exhaust, driveshafts, shifter, etc. hopefully done within about 3 hours from now.

    This has truly turned out to be a bolt in swap, which is just freakin awesome. I am crazy pumped for the test ride. 1st is going to be wheelie levels of short lol.

    Meanwhile, it took me an entire day to get to this point, and that was two weeks ago..and mine's probably a foot higher up on stands AND I have the big honking trans jack..AND I'm not even swapping transmissions...

    Also, I am glad I have the big honking jack. I get anxiety seeing guys with transmissions on the small dolly sized things. But then again I took the trans/case out as a unit, and was doing a lot of kicking trying to part the bellhousing from the engine, but even then..

    All right - I’ve got 4 bolts unaccounted for. Maybe I figure out where they go as I continue, but I need to use 6 of these for the exhaust brackets and I’m not sure which 6. Then that will still leave me with 4 bolts I’m not sure what to do with. Any ideas?

    I had them all organized but I think they got kicked around. They don’t go on the transmission, so there should still be something on the truck missing these…

    on the exhaust brackets, I believe the 4 bolts holding the two brackets to the bellhousing have washers. Does anyone know of the one bolt per bracket holding the bracket to the cat has a washer or not? I think they do too but it’s hard to say.

    then once that’s sorted, next to figure out where the other 4 go lol. Transmission mount are accounted for, exhaust to catback are accounted for. Crossmember to frame are good. Shifter related stuff good. What else? I’ve gotta be not thinking about something.

    I think I was incorrect about having the transmission mount bolts accounted for. Seems I can no longer find them and the 4 that I do have, work. Must be them.

    Which would then mean the 6 washer bolts would all be for exhaust brackets.

    Thought about that but nope, those have tiny bolts that I had.

    What ended up happening is I used the short transmission mount to crossmember bolts, on the transmission mount to transmission…I was pretty sure the mount to crossmember bolts were short (and they are), but I couldn’t find them. The longer 4 unexplained bolts are the ones for mount to transmission. So now I’m putting those in and now my short 4 are available for the mount to crossmember. Then the 6 are all exhaust. I’m good now.

    Bleeding the clutch now, then installing rear driveshaft, then get it off the dollies and drive.

    leaving the accumulator shield off for bleeding and the front driveshaft because I don’t need 4x4. I’d rather drive than install the front shaft, so I’ll do that in the next few days when I feel like it.
