He wanted to go up to 34x10.50r17's and i believe the toyos (at that particular time in that size) were out of stock.

Yes. I was looking to go from 285/70/17s to 34x10.5R17 and wanted to compare the Toyos and BFGs for review purposes and BFG sent me a set to test.

    A/T for both. 34x10.5R17 isn't available in the M/T.

I went with Toyo's on Jared's recommendation and I got them cheap. $812 shipped for 4 tires.

Glad you got them from bfg for free ......the bfg's are usually $100 more per tire then the toyos in that size. Perks of your job.

    Yup

If it was my money I'd probably go Toyo 34x10.5R17, they're only 55#/ea in D load. $300/ea but don't doubt they'd last 40-50k miles.

Yup.....Even then, for me anyway, I can not trust BFG again. Outside of the price (even if the bfg's were way cheaper, which they are not) the bfg's ripped my heart out both on and off the trail after giving them 15 years of fanboy love, they can go and pound sand. Even though you can find both of these tires maybe a little cheaper on some different sites, for 4 tires, it is a HUGE difference in price for (in my mind) zero benefit.

    Morning everyone.

Happy Saturday. Brisk out there. Cleaned the snow with my leaf blower.

And did some stuff to prep for a new entertainment center (custom made) to hang up a new bigger TV on the wall.

I don't see a plus going with the BFG's. Is there one?
