Hello everyone. I have 2021 tacoma off-road. Yesterday I started it up and immediately got a check engine light. After a little investigation, I found that the camshaft position sensor( bank 2) had been chewed by rodents. The fun one to access that is under the Air Intake Surge tank. I believe the sensor itself should still be fine. But I need to replace or re-wire the clip that attaches to the sensor. The little f@#kers chewed it right at the clip so I can't just splice the wiring back together.

This is a possible replacement I found from Amazon. Is there a better one that people know of?

    Thanks!!

Thanks for the part number and diagram. Definitely helps!

As this issue is only a sensor, it shouldnt cause any further problems or damage with the vehicle if I drive it, right?

No, won't cause any issues. ECU usually defaults to a base tables and won't advance/retard cam angles, etc.
Make sure to pay attention to pinout and wire colors. Don't use any types of butt connectors, solder wires instead.

Thanks again, for the info. I rewired the part myself without taking off the air intake. It was a bitch but i felt I saved a lot of extra time and money.

1 thing I did notice, because of the check engine light, the truck did have a loss of power.
