First time for me.. I did change the resistor still only first two speeds work. Could the speed selector switch be the problem?

Was wondering if you tried contact cleaner spray on the switch wiper arm and contacts. I always start there on switches, rheostats and selectable electronic components before I start replacing items. Works great on pwr door lock switches, pwr window switches and switches in general

Subscribed. My '99 fan speed switch stopped working except Speed 1 and 4. Replacing the resistor gave me back Speed 2, but I've been without 3 for a few years now. I'd love to hear a solution.
