I drive a 2014 TRD Sport with the factory suspension.

I drive a ton of really rough logging and BLM roads, at 20-30 mph. Lots and lots of washboard.

I'd really like to upgrade to a suspension that will help the truck "float" on these rough roads.

It's my understanding that Bilstein 5100s will stiffen things up and likely make it worse?

I know almost nothing about reservoir shocks, is that something they'd do well with?

I'm not too concerned with ride height. I'd be fine with gaining some height, but not more than an inch or two.

I also know that running ten ply tires hurts this a lot, but so many of our logging roads are crushed shale that I get constant flats if I run even C rated.

I run very similar to what you described & I really like my Fox/Accutune set up, I also only run 20 psi in my tires that helps a bunch just not great for tire ware

Do you run that psi on asphalt also? Or air down? Try to keep mine at 32ish, but our temp swings change it a lot.

@AccuTune Offroad should be able to get you a good set of shocks that are set up for that. A bit spendy, but very well worth it (especially for that type of use... yes, you'll want reservoirs).

And definitely ×2 on the tire pressure. When bombing around Death Valley and surrounding areas, I've used as little as 10 PSI on the very-severely-washboarded roads that are typical in the area. Only thing is if you're going fast, you have to be aware of any sudden turns at that pressure (you're trading away some handling for a smoother ride).

Airing down is just not that realistic for me and my driving tendencies. On/off pavement all day and often at very weird times/weather.
