For some reason, I can hardly keep my eyes open today. I need a nap

 

mine of the guys that work for me stopped by, and ask if I had a to talk about work stuff.
Sure but not long, I haven’t eaten lunch yet and need to get some work done on the house.
He stayed for an hour and a half telling me the same thing. I guess he was hoping I would change my mind on work this week.

Good progress on the screened in porch addition. New hardie board siding and roof next. Then comes the shop construction. Siding and roof to match

Did you guys take down the wooden fence that was b/t the driveway and pond? Is that where the shop is sitting?

 

Yes sir I tore it down. Shop is sitting at the end of the driveway where the wooden fence used to be. The backyard will start to be fenced in on Monday. Basically we won't have a fence separating the front and backyard. Just one big yard.

We're going to wire, sheetrock and finish the inside of the shop to save some coin. All to code of course. My bro in law is an electrician. Shop will be climate controlled also.

Thanks Jeff! Trying to do what I can myself. I installed the outlet for the porch TV today. Glad the framer cut a scuttle hole in old roof so I could access the really high wall under the new porch. Made things easier for sure.

 

We are doing most of the work on the house I bought also. Mainly because the quotes I got were crazy high and they couldn’t even start for months. Thankfully I know how to do a lot of it, and what I don’t know we research how to do it. Im looking forward to being done, as you are probably feeling the same. Good luck with the rest of it.
