Tell you daughter, Job well done. Not a bad 8 pointer, and it's meat in the freezer.

I cant find my pictures, we had a water leak last year and I have no idea where some of our shit went. But....
My first deer (I was 14); I went camping with my dad and 7 or 8 other drunks ....my dad wouldn't wake up (cause hungover) so finally around 8ish I told him to get his drunk ass up (true story) because his son was itching to kill something. Btw...I'd never seen a deer in my life. So he walks me out to this rickety wooden sketchy homemade treestand somewheres in the middle of the Mark Twain National Forest and tells me to hook my gun to the rope and climb on up. So I says  and climbed on up there.
So he walks about 40 yards away and proceeds to light up a smoke and pull a beer out of his coat pocket. o_O
Well, the cigarette got him to coughing and sputtering and I dont know anything at all about deer hunting at this point in my career (hell I still dont) but I know that a hungover guy coughing a lung up out there in the timber aint gonna bring in no game. So I holler at him "Hey!! Get the f$ck outta here". (Another true story)
So he gets up, hollers back "dont shoot a doe, we aint got a tag for it".
Bout 10 minutes later 2 does walk in; Im studying them thru the scope of my .243 and kinda think "what the hell" and one of the does went home with us. :anonymous:

My first deer with a bow...
I was 23, shot it in the throat while it was staring at me.
It was a button buck, field dressed weight of.....43 pounds. :anonymous:

Your daughter is a very impressive young woman. In both ability and appearance. Some young man is going to be a very lucky guy.

I don’t know where you’re from but where I’m from, that a big bodied deer! Nice score!

I can only hope my youngest daughter keeps the hunting bug. She’s loving it right now

It's a decent body deer. My son got a brut in bow season that field dressed at 284 lbs.
My daughter started hunting at nine and is now 16 and still loves it. She has killed 3 turkey with a crossbow. We take her to Wyoming every year prairie dog hunting also which helps keep her interested. Hopefully your daughter will continue to hunt and you can continue to make memories together. My daughter always makes a competition with some boy's on who does better hunting. Lol
