Been getting lucky the last two weekends. Got a few in the Arkansas between BV and Johnson Village at an AirBnB where I got married.

My now wife and I caught a few in the only hour we had near the Colorado New Mexico border yesterday morning too.

Does anyone have any experience with collapsible nets though? I'm flying to whitefish Montana for a wedding this upcoming weekend and trying to figure out how to fish in the short time we have. It's either take our gear, minus waders, and fish ourselves. Or get a half day guide. I'm a little stumped on how to take a net though. I saw some aluminum collapsible ones like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNHWJKTL
Or a wooden handle with the next part that collapses like https://reyrgear.com/products/collapsible-insta-net

No Net? Even when I have mine with me I rarely use it (Guess it's been a no monster year for trout for me).

I haven't used my net the last 2 weekends so its definitely not necessary. This would also live in my truck with a spare rod and I've been meaning to get an extra for my wife anyway.

trying out tight line nymphing on lower Big Thompson this morning (15 minutes from home). brown and 2 bows in about 90 minutes, and plenty of misses (sadly) including an 'extended release' on a hog of a bow (I always forget to walk downstream to the big boys instead of dragging it back through current, and then cuss at myself for always using barbless hooks, but that won't change). anyway, love this time of year for fishing !

Cold cold day on the Eagle this morning! Pulled one out of there and then moved to the Blue and had a lot more success!
