    Can I remove CV front diff without removing axle nut?

    Negatory... to remove the front diff entirely you'll have to pull the CVs out of the hubs which requires removing that nut. unless you were able to remove the CVs from where they go into the diff but that sounds like a lot more work than just a nut.

    Technically Yes. You can....
    You disconnect the lower spindle mount.
    Disconnect the sway bar link.
    Then pop the CV out of the differential.
    But you'll be fighting the weight of the spindle pressing the cv back in.

    In short, it can be done.
    But removing the CV from the hub is easier and gets the CV out of the way, so you have more room to work.
