That's a spendy tire. Cool they are C load though.

Well, technically they're the same size as what I took off, but they're noticeably taller. My cab mount chop looks fine, but I'm eating the flares and liner in a few places. I need to cycle and clearance a little more.

Found a good deal on them, but they're still not cheap for sure!

Without doing any research myself. Do the tires still have a strong sidewall? Wouldn’t mind going with a C rated tire on the GX next time around.

Yes. They have a 3ply 'Druaspec' sidewall.

Best of both worlds IMO to have C's with a 3ply sidewall.

    Barely touched it.
    Now that it's self-cleared, shouldn't happen again.

Another year with hardly any updates in here. Which was kinda the goal of this truck....

I finally pulled the coilovers and actually clearanced the tires. Took removing all the fender liner up front and some more in the back, a little bit at the top of the flares, hammering over all of the pinch weld and some of the firewall, and was rubbing a spot up front on the inner fender that took some BFHing. Luckily no issue with my first CMC.

Also remade my in bed bike mount to fit my Evil.

Only other thing on the list is to fix an issue I'm having with the 2nd leaf catching the shackle on full droop. Also keep wondering about tossing on a full front bumper eventually... :notsure:

    resist the bumper!!!!

If I hadn't hit a deer I'd still have a stock bumper on Igor.

A front bumper will hit the MPGs hard as it hurts the aerodynamics a lot.

I'm getting embarrassingly bad mileage as is.

Also, almost forgot the most important EAF update! Dometic faucet + iggy scepter cap.

Well it'll get 1-2 worse with a bumper

And wow your EAF points are very high with that one! How's it stay clean?

It's cordless and magnetic. Just take it off the little tab I welded on, put it in the nice little bag it came with, and put it away.

A dead starter battery prompted me to upgrade my house battery to a lithium and move the heavy Northstar up front. I was a bit concerned about how the self heating would work in the cold, but everything seems to be working great.

    upload_2024-12-22_18-25-51.jpg

Also did a trans service and swapped my dented pan.

And installed an accessorides remote start kit that's been awesome. Plus some minor wiring changes to get the heated seats to turn on with the remote start.
