Need some help. Just installed a 3 in lift over the weekend. Noticed a slight squeak from what seems like the front of the truck. My initial thoughts are: replace brake pads (I noticed a lot of brake dust on my stock wheels, which have since been changed to black aftermarket wheels), replace the needle bearing, or something needs greased (not sure what though). Lift did come with diff drop and I installed the OME driveshaft shims. Never noticed the noise prior to lifting.
    TIA

The needle bearing is not going to be a squeak, it will be a slight rumble or grinding feel. But it’s still a good idea to replace it with the ECGS bushing.

Yeah that’s what I’ve read. Appreciate the feedback. Maybe squeak wasn’t the best description of the sound. It’s almost like metal slightly rubbing. A whoosh or whirling sound. I was able to get a video. It’s the loudest the last couple of seconds.

It’s really hard to hear in the video. Honestly the needle bearing vibe is more something you feel than hear. It would come up right through the floorboard.

did you torque things at ride height? Not doing so can make things squeak.

I’m going to re-torque everything again this weekend

What was the cause? I'm in the same boat with the exact same sound.
