Finally installed cruise control in the base taco lol. Replaced the 3rd brake light too and I think I found where some of the leaking was coming from. Seal was shot.

So, when you bought the taco, it only had 12k miles? Where did you find that gem at? I have a company truck, that's why I don't put alot of miles on my personal rides.

Yes it had 13,000 on it. And by the end on the year I will have 23,000 on it. I knew the family that had it. I have done a lot of work for them and always told them I wanted to buy it. It was always kept in a heated garage. Now that my daughter is driving she took my Acura I used to drive everyday so now this is my daily driver unfortunately. But I baby the hell out of it.

Installed my @Accessorides remote starter this weekend, just in time for some extra cold days. Super happy with it, install was all plug and play and very easy to program the key fobs. I got the 2 way 2000ft long range fob and love getting the confirmation that it started, but probably am going to look into disabling the beep portion since its pretty loud, would rather just the blink. Excited to start testing the range lol

Everytime we take my wifes Subaru in for anything, or I'm in for parts they always try to buy it its a 2020 that just rolled over 50k. crazy how some cars can absolutely put miles on with no effort, and others just seem to slowly gather them.

If I did, my 5 year old would tell me since she pays attention to the big red numbers on Daddy's radio (I drive with android auto running most of the time and the waze map up just because). She knows red means I'm over the limit and will tell me, repeatedly, what the numbers are.

@elricfate, I'm chuckling at that. I have a now 8 yo granddaughter that is queen of all speed and turn signal monitoring. She's very quick to let one know when they're going too fast, miss a turn signal, etc. While I'm impressed with her understanding of the basic driving rules of the road, we'll see how that holds up when SHE starts driving.

Put my new Icon RXT's in over the weekend, and I'm glad I did -- Never noticed the bluetooth leaf on my driver side pack.

All this mileage talk has me freaking out. My 2008 Off Road is going to hit 90k miles in just a few months. Guess I will be replacing the factory spark plugs this spring. Probably have to inspect the serpentine and the oem brakes. I may even clean the MAF and throttle body. With all these miles I might have to do a 2nd coolant flush. My God does it ever end. All the worry of owning a 16 year old truck. And just look at the old thing. Is it even worth all the effort.20240601_075101.jpg

She’s a looker that’s for sure. I’ve got the same year base model 4x4 not quite as good looking as yours and recently purchased the same grill. Really considering paint matching the grill surround. Did you do it or buy it that way? Curious how hard it was to get rid of the chrome.

Bought it painted new from Hendrick Toyota of Apex. It is a 2011 model honeycomb grill. You just have to find the correct color. My chrome one was in excellent shape but the color matched looks so much better.

I’ve already got the chrome surround version on my truck now. Oh well.

Broke down and ordered a fridge. Got an Iceco VL35ProS. 20% off, free shipping and a free slide was too much to pass up.

Cleaned MAF and throttle body. No drama.
73K miles, third time as it's too easy on these rigs.

Sold her to my next door neighbor. After 11 years of faithful and trouble free service it was time to retire her. BTW she was made in Mexico
