These are cool. If my oem pro led's bite the dust I'll be getting these.

edit: A 5 year warranty too! You hear that Toyota? All of us who paid out the wahzoo to swap and only got a 1 year warranty. :annoyed:

Performance is better. These have heaters. UV coating on the lens is better. Same price as the Amber DRLs when new.

I suspect the heaters aka run-hot bulbs might be useful in MI Winters, but I would personally avoid that option due to my aversion to adding heat. I'd coat these prior to installation anyway. I wonder if the wife would notice if I swapped these in...:santa2:

Heat Power is 50W by lens heater, this is about same amount of thermal energy dissipated by standard halogen bulb.
It only activate when ambient temp below 5C AND when you want it to be ON by command If you don't turn on, no heat power is added by heater function. Every IGN On cycle, unless you intentionally engage system ON by your command, it set as default OFF so you don't unintentionally running.

I just contacted the vendor I bought these from to see if they'll honor it and swap out my Gen2's because of the fading lenses.

I generally coat any new parts as I add them too. Wheels, spoiler, headlights, etc. Helps it look better longer IMO

Placed an order for the supercharged drivers as well. Gotta wait a lil bit for those tho as they're on backorder. :pout: No surprise there but thats perfectly fine because ill get to see how they perform before and after!

God DAYUM, these things are a work of ART!!!

Merry x-mas to me! And to ya'll as well, of course! :D
Just got em installed last night and couldn't wait to share! Feel like a little kid who cant wait to show off his xmas presents to everyone with these (even tho it was a gift I purchased for myself). lmao...

(little backstory) Just purchased my '16 in August and of course, morimoto products are among the first mods to be installed. I already got my Morimoto tails and 3rd brake light installed recently (which are also amazing) along with a few other mods including Diode Dynamics ss3 MAX fog lights... Had the gen2 ambers on order but were back-ordered. Then TRS went and surprised me with an email showcasing the new Evo's, and stating that I'd be getting the upgrade for free!! :yay: I was beyond stoked and couldn't be happier now that they're installed.

So yeah, Morimoto really hit it outta the park with these. The aesthetics are phenomenal, fit and finish is perfect, and the performance is awesome. I am so in love.. Took them for a test drive and adjusted the aim, which only needed very minimal adjustment. The cutoff is perfect. and the functions work perfect. The only thing I wished was different, was the fact that the drl's dim when on drl mode on selector/column switch. With lights off, they are at full brightness. But all other modes they slightly dim. I would have expected them to switch to full brightness on drl mode as well. I understand the reason for when headlights are on but, maybe not drl mode. Idk, just nit-picking really. But it would be nice if there was an option/function to change that as well... Also can't wait to try out the supercharged drivers, to which I also ordered yesterday but are on back-order as well.

(I also took a video and can share that as well, but I do have the Diode max fogs paired with the high beams utilizing a Fleece all lights on module. I can remove that if ya'll want some raw high beam xb footage. Although, WITH the diodes, the output together is freakin EPIC!!)

Few more pics here in Flickr gallery (didn't want to bloat the page with TOO many pics )
Side note for anyone that views/cares; I also installed the custom pro grille with raptor lights at the same time (purchased from Aspire Auto) and I'm torn whether or not to like it. lol. I kinda do, and want to say it matches the color scheme, but feel its a bit (if not a lot) OTT,. What do ya'll think? It really looks much better in person, but yeah, it does distract the eyes from the main catch here, which of course is the morimotos.

Because I can't decide if I like it or not myself. It feel it's a little overbearing. So I'll let the community decide for me. Ha.. But yeah, I wanted something myself to kinda compliment the amber drls. Kinda limited to custom grilles or raptor lights. Not a fan of the raptor lights either. Thought I'd like it more than I do. They do make this grille and feel its a little more subtle, but nearly $700 . And it really pairs better with the gen2 with the full u bracket drl, not so much with these or the new evos. So idk. Maybe less is better:notsure:

Crappy lights from Amazon across a 2020 SR grille. I made them easy to swap because I don’t have much faith in them. But they make them in amber as well. Mine are switchbacks.

Here's the initial video I took. Not the greatest showcase of the evos by themselves but paired with my other lights, my total output is quite impressive if I do say so myself. Also have a 30" 5d auxbeam light bar I need to install in the lower bumper valance. Then gotta install my rago roof rack which will have two 20" vision x evo prime double row clones.

I’m excited to hear the before/after experience with the SC drivers.

When adding them to the Evo Hybrid headlights, it also adds the welcome sequence. :spending:

Someone needs to send a set to @crashnburn80 ; I'd like to see how these new versions compare to the oem led's.
