combo tonneau and soft top?

i'm still scavenging "best of sema" videos, and a new one popped up that showcased fas-top and their combo tonneau/soft top cover.

it's really interesting to me specifically because i was looking at the bestop(and would still prefer it if i had the option), but i really prefer to run a tonneau the majority of the time. i don't need the extra height of a soft top all the time, but it can be beneficial in a number of situations to have more enclosed storage.

it's looking like it's about $1600 for the long beds, which is a little more expensive than the bestop, but gives far more options.

 

I saw that last night. Temping as I need a replacement for the Bakflip X4s that was damaged. I'd really like to find a used Leer shell.

 

I looked at buying on a few years ago and decided to just get a soft topper. I couldn’t think of a scenario in which I’d want a tonneau if I also have a soft topper.
