Just doing my usual website browsing for all things taco and stumbled across coastal Offroad’s extreme clearance bumper and skid plate set. Haven’t seen anyone offer something like this as far as clearance and it actually looks pretty sharp compared to other diy kits available. The bumper requires you cutting the front frame crossmember and the skid plates require cutting of the low hanging frame crossmember and exhaust all while replacing with their own high clearance crossmember.
    Let’s talk about it!

I had no idea they were doing a product like this. I've always wondered why there weren't more options for removing that crossmember.

I'm considering them now, and I wasn't before.

If I were to get a front bumper, it would probably be this one with full hoops given the increased clearance and good looks, not to mention competitive price

I wonder how hard it is welding together a kit in terms of fitment/tac-welding it into position
so that everything looks good, lined up nice and straight, nothing crooked
because once it's fully welded there's not much you can do to change it

Haha just like you I have seen their stuff and haven’t been interested until now. Still not a fan of their high clearance rear bumper, I want the brute force fan because of the light mounts, and hitch behind a flip style license plate.
They have some videos on YouTube of people doing the diy kits from them and seem to go together fairly easy.

All I see from them now is a front skid plate that connects to LCA pivots

Has anyone built one of these kits?

Looks like a great idea, removing the crossbar.

Anyone know what exhaust modifications have to be done to fit the skid plates?

Ordered one as a B lack Friday deal. Inbound today. Built one of their rear bumpers years ago-not as easy as it looks to make them look factory, but stout and indestructible if you weld both sides. This front will take some fabrication as I made my own skid plates and will have to modify to fit but like to look and the price! Once I start building, if I remember I will dump in some pictures...
