    2013 Tacoma TRD Sport
    Hello,
I just joined the group. I have a 2006 Tacoma TRD Off Road package that has 16" diameter wheels with brand new LT265/75/R16 mud & snow tires. Unfortunately, I got a suspected blown head gasket at 351,000 miles. So, a couple days ago I purchased a 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport with 96,000 miles. The Sport has 17" diameter wheels with P265/65/R17 worn out street tires.

My question is can I replace the 17" tires and wheels of the 2013 TRD Sport with the 16" set from the 2006 TRD Off-Road without out some kind of unexpected fit or performance problems? They both appear to have an identical 6-bolt pattern and roughly the same rim width, so I assume the 16" wheels/tires will bolt right up to the Sport model. I assume there was a reason the TRD Off Road package came with 16" wheels while the TRD Sport used 17" wheels. I like the improved sporty features of my new 2013 truck, but I also need it somewhat converted for periodic back-woods expeditions using jeep trails, old logging roads, etc. Other than that, I drive about 22,500 miles per year.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Welcome. The answer to your question is yes. Same width and offset, just different diameter.

Does anyone know just what the stock rim width is for Tacoma TRD's ? Is it 7" rims ?
