Hello I have a 1982 Toyota pickup 4x4 with stock suspension, I want to make it ride great at speed on trails but I also wanna keep the ability to hold a dirtbike in the rear. I was thinking of going with deaver 1 inch lift springs but they only make it for the rear what do you guys recommend? Also for shocks I’m not amazing at fabricating and don’t want anything nuts just a nice setup! Thanks

I'd recommend weighing your rig laden for an outing first. Then find a set up that will suit your specific needs.

Deaver makes great springs, I'm running stage 3 in the rear of my Tacoma with Elka 2.5 shocks. This rig is always laden for travel because it's not a daily driver.
My '86 pickup has Old Man Emu springs and shocks. They work well, but are a bit stiff when unladen (as expected).
Old Man Emu are an affordable option. I've had some issues in the past blowing out rear shocks when running them on my old Montero laden for extended travel. In the end, I ran Bilstien B6 4600 shocks with the OME springs. The OME springs can be "modified" (directions on the product's pdf). You can remove some of the leaf pack from the heavy set up to customize the carrying weight/ride.

    Cheers
