Hey all, I have a 2010 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Today threw a CEL, got home and hooked my AFE Scorcher up to it to read the codes:

P0420: catalyst system efficiency below threshold

P3000: my code reader did not give a description of this code but Google searching tells me it's something about a HV battery system malfunction/failure. But the only info seems to be on Prius' and other hybrids

Has anyone had anything similar, or know anything about this? Truck seemed to run okay. Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean P0300 (Random Misfire), there is no P3000 code for 2nd gens.

I'm not sure if my code reader had some kind of glitch then? I know the P0420 code, that pops up once every year or so and I just keep clearing it and don't have any issues. But my AFE Scorcher tuner also read a P3000, which is saying something about Hybrid battery systems

Not sure where it's getting that from, there is no P3000 or any P3xxx codes on any 2nd gen Tacoma.
