2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 2WD

Hi, my 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 2WD car alarm won’t stop going off. This has been going on for about a year. It start and I thought it was the key fab and I replaced that. It goes off at random times at work, at school, at the store. Pretty much everywhere except my house which I live in the country so maybe there are no electrical signals that are tripping it. I took it to a mechanic and he says it’s a factory alarm. Right now I’m having to disconnect the battery whenever I’m gone for a long time. I’ve plugged a code reader and nothing comes up. I also stopped using my key fab and it sits in the truck now so it isn’t auto locking. Not sure what to do now. Any thoughts?
