Long story. Flipped it and swapped cab. Lots of mods + supercharger since then. Front end swap with custom retrofitted morimoto d2s 5.0 and tid bits. Fiberglass and lt in the works. 4x4 transmission upgrades and twin stick about to be installed. Rough current progress.

Man those are the best looking wheels I've seen lately! I'm kinda stuck on stock steelies but yours make me want.

Jeebus I cannot keep up with thread and the mods that occur. Alot is done every week. I will update current photos and expand on mod list once I "get" some free time

 

Threw on some 2" wheel spacers and 4x4 conversion parts.

 

Hey, I'm new here and looking for how you think the ride quality changed after adding the spacers? I just got the Eibach 2" level shocks and kind of want to add spacers for some more offset, but also hear that it messes with ride quality. What do you think? Edit, also your truck looks great!

 

As long as the spacer is hub centric you won't have any issues with reliability, our vehicles utilize a 106mm center bore (more accurately it's 106.1mm).

1.25" is typically what people run to clear suspension components and for cosmetic purposes.

I do believe the spacer impacts the overall comfort but very minimally. The wheels are pushed out further and with more distance from the original position, causes the ride to be a bit more harsh.

Did you already finish the conversion to 4x4 or you are still working on it?

 

I currently only have the front differential, axles and wheel bearings installed.

The only component I am missing is the transmission at the moment.

The only other thing is fabricating and welding up the new crossmember. I initially planned on modifying the stock cross member and hacking it up. I have seen some good ideas on here lately though and will probably weld up an entire tube steel crossmember with the proper transmission mount dimensions for additional strength.

 

One year update since the last pic of November last year... lol

 

Got both rear shocks relocated, cleaned up rear frame in regards to chassis and electrical.

Started wire tucking the engine bays. De pinning, heat shrinking and applying FR braided loom where applicable.

Received many aluminum and steel tanks to replace the PS reservoir, SC reservoir, windshield washer fluid.

Began rerouting sc lines out of engine bays for an overall cleaner aesthetic.

Alot of small things happening everyday with this damn thing and also finding issues as I go. Thankfully I keep it in the shop garage at all times so it's been a joy to work on it, even if in small 10 minute increments throughout the day.

 

Ripped out all the oem wire loom, opened a ridiculous can of worms. Wire tucking to rerouting.. I wasn't happy with how much I've beat up on the truck in the last few years and decided it was time to clean it all up the way I wanted.

 

The most recent picture from a few days ago. So much progress since. I actually had the truck stuck on the lift for almost 2 weeks which is unheard of as I go through 4-6 cars a day on average. The holidays really slowed down this year. Thankful though.

Prepping the exhaust in this picture and just doing some welding practice to get back into it before my chevy 63 shackles install, front shock gussets, dirt king rear frame plate kit and finalize rear shock location and placement

I got too lazy to get gas to tig or even a meh mig with the ss and tried ss wire in .035 in FCAW with 120v. I wanted to throw up. Serves me right. Going to reweld the exhaust later on.

Deleted the donut and went band to 2 3" mbrp resonator and a borla xs pro

First few passes on 3/8 mild with e71t .035. Dialed in a bit and did a little weld fixture table from TMR
