That was me yesterday. I’d call it a shit show but that’s too easy. Entire lot is soup. I’m over this dreary weather. Sick of being cooped up but can’t do anything in the yard. Dogs are a mess. Changed the oil on the Tacoma yesterday. She’s a good girl.

I’m just bummed about the ski/ snowmobile industry. This was the best two weeks for ski resorts, used to be a snow maker/ lift operator. Loved making snow, it’s amazing how much you can make in a night if conditions are right. Skiing down a freshly groomed hill with no tracks, pretty cool

Mike , if you might care to provide advice on mice prevention ... I know you've worked on many, can't remember what you use to prevent the critters. :notsure:

Ray Maggliozi (sp.?), the Car Talk guys, were told by a professional exterminator that mint is the best deterrent. I punched some small holes in a tin (Altoids for example), laid in some cotton balls (from vitamin or other bottles), soaked with mint oil from the grocery. Secured the box to the top of the inner fender with Velcro. We 'll be getting into the low 30s during the night early this week, still with a rain or snow, and nothing more than "accumulation less than 1/2 inch." The ski area at Sandpoint ID has been running for a couple months with 7'.

I've also heard that mint works. I believe there are sprays for such thing.

Just peppermint oil sprayed mine and hubs engine compartments after seeing little footprints in the fresh snow earlier this week. Little bastards. Need to build another garage asap.
Dad has tried basically everything given he cant drive all 30+ cars at once and a lot sit for years in the barn. The mice eventually dont give a shit about deterrents. Theyve made nests of his dryer sheets and chewed on peppermint-sprayed rags hes left. They’re relentless. Flip trap on a bucket against the wheel has been the only thing hes had work. Death to all.

Sounds like he needs a barn cat. They'll take care of squirrels, too, but keep them safe from raccoons.

Had one, Suzie, for 18 years. Caught some here and there but she was otherwise busy sleeping.
