Looking into Verizon hot spots. It's time to cut the Spectrum bill.

I am the only one streaming, but enjoying 4K shows.

Happy Sunday all. Yesterday was a dreary drizzly day and we wanted to get out of the house, so we took a little up to the mountains to check out the snow. Started seeing snow about 4500’. It was raining starting at about 1000’. Started snowing about 5000’. Kept going up to about 6500 to 7000’. Used the 4wd and the new Terra Trac X Venture tires on the road shown in the pic. Love those tires. Got back on the highway and climbed a little higher. Somewhere over 7000’ the snow and wind got serious. The sky got black, heard a crack of thunder that vibrated the truck and the snow was blowing sideways almost white out conditions. Time to turn it around and head to lower ground. Headlights, fog lights, off road lights blazing, creeping along no more than 10 or 15 mph. After about 20 or so minutes and a drop of 1000’ the snow lightened up considerably. Another 1000’ drop and it was light snow and then rain. Got to admit it was a little scary when the blizzard like conditions came on suddenly. Thank the Lord for 4WD, great tires and bright lights and for watching over us. Today we’re content so sit around drinking hot beverages and watching movies. Wishing all a great new years.
Here’s 2 pics about an hour before snowmageddon. One is me threatening to throw a snow ball at wifey (I know better that to do that), the other is a road I put the 4wd and tires to use.

    Sounds like fun!

I can not make out the sign, but where are you on the Mormon Emigrant Trail?

Me, with a snowball handy... about Sixty years ago. Oh, I still have that sled!

Nice pic young man. We went up highway 88 almost to Kirkwood ski resort. The road is a forest service road, no name.
Love the old station wagon in the background. The SUV of a time gone by.

It starts to get real when all of the pin-up girls you grew up with have died of old age.

    Good Monday Morning Folks :hattip:

Looks like a few of you had a great weekend .
The weather was wonderful here yesterday. Tee shirt weather in the 50's and no rain. Had rain last night and it is supposed to clear up, 52 degrees this morning . I might have to give Kermy a bath today :D. I wonder what kind of drugs the "Fickle Weather Witch" s on these days, but I'll take it because I don't have to shovel rain :rofl:

Have a great day folks nd be safe :fistbump:

Good morning all! Monday...Monday...da da dada dada.
One year ago. I was sitting in the Toyota showroom finalizing my purchase and joined the TW forum while I waited for the truck to be detailed.
    Happy anniversary!

    BTW...anyone seen @Ridgewalker1 lately?

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/snow bunnies. It was FIFTY SEVEN DEGREES here yesterday so all of our snow is gone. Sun is out after a few gloomy days but the gloom is set to return tomorrow. My wife Carol is settling in to her new routine of actually having to take medicine, which is a new thing for her. Lucky girl in that regard. We have some appointments coming up, and the list of questions is growing; it will be good to get some expert advice about this new phase of her life.

That's an over-the-air service. Check your signal strength before taking the leap. We had a Cape Cod rental last year with Verizon 5G internet, and the quality was horrible because the 5G signal strength was very weak.

I guess its another sign of being old but I am very much a hard-wire kind of guy. I even ran ethernet cable all over the place inside the house so we didn't have to rely on iffy WiFi signal. I later beefed up the WiFi with multiple access points and a mesh network, so maybe I'm just an incurable nerd. o_O

Hello all, I just found this thread today, and since I qualify I figured I'd introduce myself.

I'm a 60 yr old guy who despite all the aches and pains and handfuls of meds I have to take, still feels like I'm 19 inside my head. I'm on my 3rd Tacoma - 2008 DCLB SR5 in Radiant Red, 2018 DCSB TRD Sport in Blazing Blue Pearl, and now a 2023 DCLB TRD Sport in Celestial Silver (Pic of the day I traded below). I'm a cr@ppy guitarist, and like going to the range for 9mm therapy. I'm married to a wonderful woman for the last 9 years, who brought an awesome daughter along with her to go with my own 3 sons. I've got a couple dogs, 4 birds and a cat. I love coffee!

All in all, I'm a very lucky guy. Life is more than good.
    Trade-in day

My wife, my aunt, me, my oldest son and youngest son.

My dog Tikka, a Plott hound, she's almost 10 now.

My dog Bear. We say he's got 2 brain cells fighting for 3rd place, but he's only a year old.
