    I don’t know how to find this info on a 2013 Tacoma.

    Well considering the choice in engines for your truck were a 2.7L I4 or a 4.0L V6 I'd say whatever site you are on is screwed up or you need to enter the year, make & model info first so it pulls up the correct engines.

    I was using the FIXD app. I put in the VIN number and other info.

    You should be able to use it without entering the engine size/type. Especially if you are just using it to read codes. Alternately download the Torque app, it's free for the basic use and only $5 for the full app.
