Interesting. I’ll have to keep watching mine. But as of 13.4k miles not a thing wrong with it. Just washed it today (hose washed at home in March -amazing). Still has that repellency to it but we have had little moisture since I got it and little wiper blade use. Ive never replaced a windshield on a vehicle though. My last 2017 chevy had a quarter sized raspberry 3/4 of the glass deep, right in the middle, from a rock coming off a hauled dozer that wasn't cleaned well. I had Safelite repair it and it lasted years and traded it in that way. I’ll probably go out tomorrow and crack it now that i said that. Lol

What in THE hell are y'all doing to your windshields?? I've had mine in Arizona four 4 years and replaced one windshield due a rock. Arizona has the most windshields claims than any other state. Mine have never looked pitted or sandblasted. Maybe I'm just lucky. :notsure:

And $600 for a windshield and calibration?? Holy hell!!

Stay away from far left and right lanes when there’s a medium, the vacuum brings up the debris, you can see and hear it. Same with large trucks.
In the end, not much you can do.

Upright windshields are gonna get pitted and cracked much more easily than more aerodynamic vehicles. Talk to Wrangle owners that replace nearly yearly.

I’ve replaced my windshield 3 times already, all from debris getting kicked up on the SoCal highways. I’ve replaced it myself each time. I buy the Toyota glass and it comes with all the trim pieces and it has the guide for the front radar attached to the glass. My trucks brake warning comes on at the same distance as when the truck was purchased and I’ve never had to have it calibrated. I’m sure it would need to be calibrated if you use aftermarket glass tho.

All my 3rd gens have had crappy windshields, my 2022 lasted a year and suddenly cracked at the top with no chip evident, is what it is.

So far my windshield as no pitting from sand etc. I live in a area where the roads are sand/salted and my windshield still looks new. 60 k just saying

True maybe it has something to do with the window treatment that I do every year.

So far I've gotten 2 quotes today. Neither company is willing to give the option of choosing a specific brand. I guess I'll keep shopping.

$265.38 for whatever brand glass is available at the warehouse (Prolite auto glass)
$392.96 for FYG glass (Fuyao) Chinese glass (BlueChip Autoglass)

The $265 quote seems low, but it is whatever glass they have in the warehouse :notsure:
