1999 5VZFE 3400CC EFI, AT Floor Shift Dash / Instrument Panel Wiring Diagram

Hey! I'm new to the forum and am in desperate search of a wiring diagram / pin out for the Dash/Instrument panel wiring harness (interior, right passenger side location). This is not an ECU Pin out (which I already have).

I have basic wiring diagrams (Mitchell & Haynes), as well, but nothing showing a Pin out of the Dash/Instrument panel harness.

I've purchased and meticulously installed a more proper main ECU AT wiring harness (previous owner swapped the orig. AT wiring harness out with a Manual in prep for a tranny swap that never happened). You can prob. imagine how many incorrect/missing connections there were. I'm now at a crank, no-start state, with a 'no connection' reading on my OBD reader.

I'm already thinking I have a bad ECU (car is new to me / I bought inop), but I want to be sure I have the dash indicators, etc. wired up correctly (the new AT Harness had a different male plug / end that I've had a semi-pro Tech re-pin all but 2 wires into the harness. We're stumped on 2 wires (from the main harness) where they should pin to the dash harness. I'm als ohoping for a pick up of the OBD connection for the OBD.

2 Wires - Pink, I believe this to be a 2nd gear indicator circuit fed off the floor shifter. The other is Red with Yellow (RY) that appears to be part of the Vapor Pressure Sensor circuit, connected to the "PTNK" (Pressure Tank) signal wire.

Really would like to know where these should be wired into on the Instrument panel / Dash harness. I believe they should run somewhere vs. just hanging there (pictured) as there aren't matching colors coming out of the female/receiving side of the harness.

I can at least tell you the 2nd gear (position sensor) wire should not go to the dash on a '99 (at least not on mine)... maybe also post the dash you have to confirm

Right, I believe that would be for a column shift, which min's a floor shift AT. Looks like maybe the new harness I got might be for a column shift AT. wonder if I'd blow it up i I just jumpered it to ground?

 

These are really good. I'll be using these to chase some wiring back to the ECU. minimally. Looks as though my mitchell fails in comparison to what you've shared. these are nice. I'll check and get back to you. Was hoping I just had a disconnect to the ECU and that's why it's not showing up on my OBD. Still might be the ECU is bad, though.

It is Floor shift, no gear indicator on the dash that I can see (lower middle is the OD/On,Off indicator). Obv. the steering wheel is off, as well as the connections/airbag. I wonder if the removal of these are preventing the engine from firing?

No, don't jump it to ground. There are 3 position selector outputs that provide voltage to the ECU for transmission control. 2 is one of them.
If you're missing P/N sensor input too, I could see that preventing the engine from starting
