Bro in law fooling around put a dent in the fender. Luckily, not on the crease line. I was able to push out a lot and have just this bit left. I got quotes for PDR ranging $280 - $400.

Since it’s in a flat spot, I’d like to give it a try. Any pointers?

A portion of the wheel well is cut so the space behind the debt is easily accessible.

I wouldn't attempt to repair dents, rather wait until your bro in law can afford to pay a pro. I would fear making it worse,,, and I am guessing the pros would agree.

Just pay for the PDR. Those guys can work some miracles and it will look like it was never there. Live with it until you can afford it, or try some quotes elsewhere (so long as they’re reputable). Attempting this on your own runs the risk of turning it into a more expensive repair. I’ve seen some PDR guys work and they do some crazy stuff most of us wouldn’t think of doing to make this stuff disappear.

Chances are you might fuck it up worse and then the PDR guy might not be able to fix it.

From what I've seen the dent is pulled from the deepest spot and gently hammered around the outside edges. I would just pay a pro.
