ToyotaPartsDeal.com BUYER BEWARE

I'm having a ridiculous issue with toyotapartsdeal.com at the moment. I ordered about a dozen parts, to include left and right side brackets for a radio swap. One of the brackets they sent is wrong, first part of the serial number is correct so I see where the mistake was made. I submitted a RMA same day. They replied with a request for of pic of the part, I oblige with pics of the unopened item with part number sticker. By chance the order paperwork between them and their distributor is stapled to it, so I send a pic of that as well; there's full history there for them to figure out who made the mistake. Days later they request a pic of the shipping label on the shipping box. I recycled the box already so that's an impossible task. They then replied they will not proceed unless I give them the pic of the shipping label on the shipping box. what!?! I called and inquired why they want to see that. I was told they believe some people try to cash in on parts that were not purchased from them and this is what they do to stop that. OK? If I produced that it still wouldn't prove/disprove anything. They know they shipped me an order.
I can't trust their practices after this (which isn't listed in their policies section, I looked). This was a $20 part, what if this happened over a $500 part? I have 8 pages worth of past orders worth thousands, never had a problem with me. I opened a claim. Ridiculous.

 

I'll just be going to https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/category/parts for now on and picking it up at my local dealership, the prices are the same or difference is negligible.
