Could do that as well. Just more cost and time.

More cost and time but no sacrifice. I guess if it were me that’s probably what I would do just to know it’s good.

For sure, it’s a viable option. I think I’m to the point in this project where my priority is getting things welded up and the truck back on it’s own weight.

I’ll work through the small fitment issues later on. I’m even considering moving the small comp tube so Ill have to tear the shock down anyway.

Are those JD towers? Mine are JD and installed by JD it could be an illusion but i look like i have little more room in the fender gap. Maybe a 2nd gen to 3rd gen difference.

I wanted to add this but it won't fit with the Magnuson SC.

16.5 inches of travel, moved bumps up higher.
13° shock angle at full droop.
14.5 inches of shock shaft showing full droop.

I have no idea what's good and what's not other than I know it cycles appropriately.

First time I've ever fabbed a suspension, let alone something that's going to get driven hard and fast and requires lots of travel to have that fun.

Ill be at Ian and Brittany's shop the weekend of Jan 18-20th for round 3 of the front install. We figure not too much work to get it all buttoned up. Friday evening and all of Saturday if no more surprises pop up. Sunday for some base line and maybe some shock tuning. You should join us if you are able to!

Welp I'm making my truck 2wd. I'm debating swapping rod ends, I have 2" right now. Any pros/cons to getting a 1" or less?

to me it looks like that inner fender would be bashing on that tower all day long with body movement.

Yep, that's why I'll be trimming ;) Goal was to maximize travel. I'll be trimming more for jounce as well.

Go higher if you can. You got that rubber bump on the shaft that’s the same thickness as the plastic puck on the bump. So if that plastic grenades itself then you’re still safe. 1/4” gap at the u bolt is more than enough.

So... PS pump is making noises and is about to leave the chat.
Looking at the JD/Howe setup and probably purchasing this week.

Any downsides or anything you don't love? How was the install?
I figure since the factory pump has to be replaced anyway, might as well upgrade.

Crack all the bolts loose before removing them fully so you don’t end up breaking the ear off the timing belt cover. Other than that it’s a straight forward install. No complaints after 3 years

Only crappy part left is boxing the frame rails next to gas tank and exhaust. After that I'm going to roll it out of garage and deep clean everything, clean garage and tear it down to paint everything and then final assembly.

Can someone show me where they put their limit strap tabs? Got lots of options just wanted to see everyone else's setup
