I have a 2013 Tacoma and the Abs, traction control and brake light have been on. I tried hooking a code reader up to it but it didn’t read anything. I also tried disconnecting the battery and seeing if it would go away as it started having the issue when it was cold. I was going to replace the abs sensors to start. Anything else I should look at or any other way to tell what it might be?

You can also jump pins on the OBD port to get an ABS blink code readout on the dashboard. Instructions are in the Quick Ref in my sig.

I finally got my hands in a scanner. Took a picture of the codes. Do all these just mean that it’s the Rear speed sensor on the left? Or is there something else wrong too?

I have the same. It means the rear speed sensor is not sending signal, or being read properly. Toyota told me the sensor had a short. I replaced the sensor and the wires, but nothing was solved.

Your ABS and traction control will not function in this condition. I don't really care about either, but the lights do bother me. Not enough to dig deeper though. Its been like this for at least 5 years, maybe 7? Meh

Looks like a possible power/ground issue to the module or a module failure. Did you clear them and see if they all come back?

@Pigpen Yeah I don’t mind having the ABS and traction control off either but I was getting ready to sell it and wanted to fix it beforehand.

@Dm93 I did and they came back on. I was going to replace the rear sensor tomorrow. How easy is the module to work on?

ABS sensors aren't too bad, but they do sometimes swell inside and break off on removal. Do your best to pull it perpendicular to the housing without any "wiggle".

The last time I broke one off I had excellent luck driving a coarse screw (I think it was a drywall screw) about an inch into the center of the piece in the housing, and pulling outwards on the screw with a pair of pliers.

@deanosaurus Copy that. Thanks for the tips. Hoping that it’s the sensor and not the module or wiring

I replaced the ABS sensor and unplugged the battery for an hour. Turned it on and the lights are still on. Do I need to clear the codes or is it for sure the module now.

ABS codes can't be manually cleared, at least not without a special tool. Drive it a bit and see if the lights go out.
