I just noticed when going over a moderately bumpy road that the bed rack shakes a little. I checked the bolt integrity of the entire rack, and all bolts/nuts are nice and snug. I think it's the truck bed itself that shakes.

Is this normal for trucks? I have a 2020 Tacoma 4x4 Off Road.

I've read on here about an issue where the composite bed sort of gets rubbed off/sanded down where the front bed bolts go into the frame. The bed bolts go through a metal sleeve making the bolt tighten against the sleeve, not the bed, probably so you don't crush the composite bed. But the bed can rub on the frame and become loose, able to ever so slightly ride up and down the sleeve that is still fully tight via the bed bolt. To test, go to front corner of bed and lift it and see if you can lift/drop it and get some motion. If none, go to other side and repeat. I currently have this, but it happened to just be the bed bolt being loose last time, so tightening it with an impact was good. I need to try that again, otherwise a spacer of UHMW plastic stuff is recommended between the bed and frame. I have that from when I originally thought it was the issue... so yeah, take a look and report back.

How fast are you driving over the bumps?

I've found if you drive fast enough you just skip over the tops and it is FAR smoother ;)

LOL. Some Google searchin' indicated that a little shaking is normal for pickup truck beds.

It don't feel right though, when you can lift your truck bed by hand, let go, and have it clunk, hahaha. Specially when I have a 1200+ pound camper strapped to nothing but that bed!!
