    Happy New Year all!

I am currently chasing a clutch which cannot seem to be adjusted to a spot where it shifts reasonably smooth. This is a 2005 5speed 4banger base model.

My question is how much movement does your clutch master cylinder rod have? The rod attached to the clutch pedal on my truck has a lot of movement left and right (about 1/2"). Is this normal? I have bled the brakes multiple times and I have had a trusted shop try.

I will be rebuilding my clutch slave cylinder in the near future, and I am trying to determine if I should replace the clutch master cylinder, or any other related parts, at the same time.
