What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Lemme know how you like those KO3’s

 

Got the truck a few months ago, it actually had 4 KO2’s but discount tire ripped the bead on one of them and replaced with a KO3 for free. I personally prefer the falcon wildpeak at3w’s but will ride with these till they wear out. No complaints so far

 

So…there’s 3 KO2’s and 1 KO3 on your truck?

Yes, the discount I go to didn’t have a KO2 in stock so closest was a KO3 they had available atm

 

Changed out 7 qts of coolant with fresh pink coolant. Drained radiator, passenger block, and overflow tank.

Old stuff looked pretty good at 70209 miles, but with a light straight down in bucket you can see orange, is that rust?

Since I removed right front wheel to gain access to block drain valve, decided to rotate all tires, and of course they were installed at what seemed to be 200+ ft/lbs as noted on my torque wrench.

 

When that drain plug gasket is stuck on the pan I’ve decided to leave it in place, mostly because my heavy-handed self would surely damage the oil pan. Haven’t had one leak on me yet thank goodness. (Continuing that “tradition” on the 2.4L in the ’23 RX350.)

 

Replaced old Amazon/Ebay (I forget) mud flaps with Tufskinz mud flaps. Not sure if I like the retro-style look or prefer the all black better.

 

Z Precision Cup Holder addition and I changed up the location of my phone mount so it doesn't block anything on the driver side.

 

Those rims make everything look good.

 

Got my H9's in today and installed, the hardest part was removing the green things in the plugs, but I was also using a cheap pair of needle nose pliers instead of going and getting the good ones... lol
I think it would be much easier to just use a flat blade screw driver and pry them up and out, worked for the needle nose anyway...

Only a short drive in traffic, so lots of heads lights around but in my neighborhood they seemed much brighter, like driving with the high beams on but with the normal cut off of the lows, so far so good. Seemed I could see much better...

And they had Germany on them also...

 

I hate to ask, but where did you get that 2 gal bucket from, and link if you still remember/have it please sir??..

 

Bro! Did you measure your front lift from center hub to fender flare? I think you’re at least at 2" or 2.5" of lift there with the 4004 springs set on 4th notch! I also have the MT64 with the 4000 springs (which are shorter than the 4004) and mine are set at the 3rd notch and I have 1.5" of lift in the front! (Center hub to fender is 22.5" , stock you are at 21").

I considered that then thought what if I forget and double up the gasket? Or someone else does oil change and does same? Probably still wouldn’t leak but OCD self says remove stuck on gasket.
