The board will have to convene and review of course ... I think it depends how you do it. I'm on Bilstien 5100s with the fronts set to level Stitch ... NO lift.
I haven't been thrown out ... yet. :anonymous:

Just got inundated with 3 sets of balls to refinish.

I finished a previous set yesterday and I always take another look the next day. Yea I’m going to do the last third of the process again. Really old set with a soft cover so not easy to repair. I’ve done two sets the same before but these are the worse. I can’t give these back without trying one more time..
I know it is what it is but, I gotta try..

I ordered a set of 5100s followed by a set 4600s since the price on the first went up 5% during the week from ordering to delivery. Plan to have the 4600s installed with the next annual maintenance, as I've been advised that 5100s are likely too stiff. (Goldilocks and the three bears at work here? Too soft and original, too stiff, and just right.)

I'll confirm the 5100's ride rougher over the road, but I like them on the trail. :notsure:

IIRC the 4600s were pretty much the same valving but the 5100 is more geared towards lifted trucks :notsure:

Lol.. I'd be curious to ride in a Taco that has the 5100s and the 6100s, just to feel the differences. I have 4600s on my 3rd gen T4R and really like the ride.

The 3rd gen OE TRD OR billies on my Taco are already ready to be replaced. They had about 1K miles on them when I installed them 4 years ago, I put around 50K on them and they're done already.

Mmm, French toast. I haven't had that in decades, now I need to find a recipe and hit the grocery store tomorrow. Powered sugar or Mapel syrup?

Just heard back from the mechanic at work on the tractor: shes fucked. Low compression on all cylinders and two of the three are soaked. Towing it home, stuffing in the garage, and pulling the engine to do an overhaul down to the crank, resleeving, new pistons, bearings, reseating and replacing valves, the works. 375 hours on it, bought it with 175 hours and evidently whoever had it prior revved the hell out of it non stop and overheated the absolute snot out of it. Outstanding. Havent worked on a diesel in 13 years, only Detroits and CATs and not in a tractor application but was pretty damned good at it so we’ll see how much I retained..

I am sorry but, you have the skill set to save yourself a bunch of money…
In this instance you are very lucky.
I know it’s going to suck but someone else would pay through the nose..
