My rear wheel bearing and axle seal are bad on my 19' Tacoma TRD Sport long story short i can't press the axel out of the hub and the only rear Axle hub assseblies i can find are the dorman 926-140 and 926-139 these say they are for gen 2 Taco's does anyone know of the compatibility of these parts on Gen 3?

Everything I can find shows the full hub/axle assemblies as fitting Tacomas from as early as 2007 thru 2022. The Dorman p/n you found appears to have the correct brake back plate, which seems to be the main variant - not things like OAL, spline counts or bolt patterns.

The hubs are pressable however, it just takes the special tool set and every bit of a 20 ton press.

Why can't you press out the bearing and race? Are they bent?

If not then remove the axle and take that to a shop with a strong press. Let them press on a new bearing and race.

The rear bearings have been the same on at least all 6 lug Tacomas since 2005.

    42450-04010 - RH
    42460-04010 - LH
    42423-60050 - retainer (x2 - 1 per side)

You need a bearing puller that works on the Toyota bearings, and a 20T press to use it. And a press to install the new. It’s a pain of a job, but doable. For the tool to work, you can’t use a recent Harbor freight press. The welded together press shelf is too narrow to fit the tool flange. I literally sold my HF press and bought a 20T from Northern Tool that bolts together, all because of this one factor.

It should be noted that anything with the 3rd gen 8.75 diff (all MTs & all OR/Pro) has 32-spline axle shafts as opposed to 30-spline on everything else. Dorman might make something for that, I’m not sure, but definitely worth knowing. The axle shafts for all 6-lug Tacomas from 2005+ are all interchangeable.

Doesn’t matter for this guy though since he has a Sport (unless his is an MT).

On several Tacoma/Tundra/4runners I have done this job. Some people cut the race off to make removal easier. I have installed the bearing and race with the pipe method and that honestly works just fine.

You can also freeze the axle and heat the bearing and retainer to help it go together easier...
