I am looking to replace my upper arms. I've done the bushings on a 4runner and I'll never get those hours back lol so I want to just get new arms ready to bolt on. I read about the Mevotech CMS861192 & CMS861193 adjustable arms but they seem to be out of production. I will be running 2.5 inches of lift and 255/85's. I may not need an adjustable arm, I just figured I'd ask with it already apart...are there any other options for a factory ball jointed arm?

Pretty sure you’ll need adjustable uca’s with that amount of lift.

Agreed, you'll need the arms. For what it's worth I went with Camburg's Uniball UCA's about... oh lord...10 years ago? I'm on my second set of Uniball's and love them. I can swap out the Uniballs in about an hour with just taking off the wheel. Not a squeak, peep or hiccup of sound from them. I've re-bushed them once maybe?

Well shoot. I thought the arms were more of an option on the 1st gens depending on how the alignment went. I guess I would lean towards the SPC or JBA's if I needed them. I definitely don't want to thrash a new set of tires by being cheap. I was hoping the Mevotechs would pop up somewhere. New stock arms and ball joints would run around 250 shipped. At that point I'm almost halfway to a set of aftermarkets.

That said...the JBA's are $100 cheaper than the SPC arms. Any reason to pick one over the other? If I read it correctly, SPC offers camber AND caster adjustments while the JBA is only caster.

I don’t think the JBA arms are adjustable. I just got a set installed and didn’t see any way of adjusting them.

Your right, it just has the caster built in. I have not seen anybody mention needing the added camber adjustment on the SPC...I'm sure it can be handy to have on an older tweaked truck frame though.

Can confirm no issues on my truck. No frame damage and 2” of lift.
