Found a few sets but one guy says he’s got springs for a 2500 that don’t fit his 1500?? Any ideas why? I’ve been looking for both.

also, I think you overestimated my ambition to time ratio… me and the truck will be ready for 63s before my skill is ready to take it on.

Do you know what yearish? I think past 08 it gets all sorts of messed up. It might not be 08.
Maybe the bushing width is messing it up? Aren’t the bushings narrower pre 98?

I’ll do it no problem. I think mine turned out well considering I’m trying to plan for weight I don’t have. I have a few tips I want to write up so I don’t forget

    63 Swap
Took about 2 days for my first time doing it all alone. Turned out pretty well but I should have moved the rear hanger forward a little more. I am building a flatbed soonish so I am planning for extra weight.

Shock relocation will be happening with flatbed.

    Notes for next time
    • centering axle with 2 people would be much easier
    • drill and tap rear hangers before welding sleeve onto bracket
    • Leafs felt softer than stock leafs
    • Not much change in ride, I think my shocks are making it stiff. One has no n2 and extremely hard to move
    • Paint shackles and u bolt plates before starting. I am going to make a zinc plating setup, I think itll be handy for all the small parts I make.

Been working some crazy midshift hours and lots of ot but been plugging away at the 2.5 conversion. Not sure if the white stripes will stay as the whole thing is getting a new white paint job soon. Glare on white sucks and flat black is free…

Officially have all the parts ready and painted. Hood and grill came pre fucked, matches the rest of the truck perfectly.
Maybe I’ll get them on this week pending life.IMG_3673.jpgbad mockup but the lines do match up nice with the grill.

Everyone that does anything need a 3d printer. Exploded a clip that holds the lines for the heater core.

5 minutes of design time and 20 minutes of print time makes a small die set.

    Fits perfect first shot

A little redneck hot bluing, heating up to 400F then quench in wd 40. This adds some corrosion protection and is easy when its 20 deg in the shop.

Anyone know of a reliable mechanic Brewster area. NY area, New York Connecticut line area. My son is visiting his girlfriend and he just called to tell me the brake pedal went soft and hit the floor. In his Subaru Outback
