That's one thing I don't like about that system. The service writer wouldn't like a bad survey, especially if it wasn't warranted. I don't think surveys should be part of anyone's pay structure. But I don't care about that as a customer, I'm not involved in the HR process I'm a cutomer. As the customer I don't feel like rating anyone good bad or otherwise, and as the customer shouldn't I have that right? And shouldn't the surveys go away if that's what I, the customer wants? The surveys make the buying experience less pleasant.

It probably won't be long before the service department goes to kiosk system for checking in vehicles, the survey will still be there.

I like how when someone does leave a negative review on a site such as Yelp, the dealership always responds with a cut and paste "We're so sorry you had this experience. We're so disappointed. That's not what we strive for. We have the highest standards. Please call (Schmuck Manager) at xxx-xxxx so we can resolve this problem". And then they never answer the phone and if the customer leaves a message they never get a call back. It's ll for show to make the readers think they give a crap. I left a negative review with a Dodge dealer that answered every post the same way and I put in my post, "No need to reply (name) with a cut and paste statement. I know you're disappointed and that's not what you strive for". He left a "like" for that.

A third choice. I've found independent shops with reviews that put dealerships to shame. And yes, I'm wired differently. After a career maintaining aircraft in the USAF including years as a Quality Assurance Inspector, where everything MUST be done right the first time because the pilot can't pull over to the nearest cloud and call AAA, details are vivid when I inspect a repair.

Sales wants a survey when you buy the vehicle service wants a survey every visit. Every store transaction wants a survey. The store is losing more in theft than they are making in sales, there's no way the customer is having fun shopping there and you still have to bag your own items.

And then they have the audacity to think a door greeter has the authority to check your personal property by asking to see your receipt. I always refuse.

That's just it, to me @slater is one who takes pride in their work. The world needs more of that type of person.

I'll let the dealer work on my truck for recalls that I bought it from, I've never had a bad experience. I did bring another job there when I needed tires, just happened they had the best price on the ones i wanted.

I've had other dealers (not Toyota) that have swindled me and I will never return, plus make sure I tell the world about how they treated me.

I think I have been to two Toyota dealers and maybe three other manufacturers. I never had a problem at any of them. Like I said small scuff on the door that's about it. I've only been for oil changes I skip the tire rotation to save time, and minor warranty stuff.

I just don't like the survey model. I paid my bill in full yet you want more. That does not sit well with me. I look at it as nonsense to give social media more relevance. That's not what I came in for.

Agreed. If all dealerships were staffed with @slater types, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…
I investigated crashes for a living. Hitting a telephone pole is the worst thing one can hit because they're strong as **** and your truck absorbs all of the energy involved in that impact. I'd tell them to buy it back or you're contacting an attorney. Not to mention that's some shady stuff with the whole CarFax explanation....geez.
