I need to tape, really need to tape as I never have an "oops"...

It is always more like "AW :censored:" when I paint. :anonymous:

Back to work today but the new kennel for the lab is mostly complete. More importantly the lab loves it. Closet is much more organized and decluttered. Next break I will hang bead board and finish the wainscoting, then paint.

I refuse to put my dog in a crate or confined space. That's cruel imo.

Not really. Some dogs like a "nest" type to sleep or have a safe space.

I get it, some dogs are trained for that and don't mind. I can't and won't do that. My dog prefers the couch, the bed or the back seat of the truck.

Spent the last 2 weekends overhauling my garage ceiling for a much a needed lighting upgrade.
    • Old lights removed
    • Ceiling settling cracks and old mounting holes patched
    • Ceiling repainted to match the exterior of the house
    • 64' of lighting installed and hardwired to existing switch via the existing junction box.
360 laser levels are the coolest thing.

It's that a cover over one the old junction boxes, or a proximity sensor?

I did a similar garage light upgrade and installed a proximity sensor in the center of the garage, so the lights just turn on when we walk into the garage now. Which is especially handy considering the very stupid location of the light switch itself (the PO covered the switch inside an old cabinet, so you had to open the door, turn around, open the cabinet, flip the switch, etc...). It's a simple thing, but it's just one of those things we don't think about anymore.

Wow that is such a stupid switch setup. Previous owner FAIL.

The proximity sensor is cool idea, but I just installed a cover to keep it clean since the light that was there was removed. I don't mind it being a manual switch. With my luck I'd be doing something inside the car for an hour without getting out and the lights would turn themselves off.

Now that the space is freed up, it would be rad to add a ceiling fan in that area. It gets hot af in the garage in AZ. Might be a project for later.

Lani is an Air Force brat. She is kennel trained and will self regulate when she needs her own space. She is also a rescue who comes with lots of anxiety so this space provides her some comfort and security.

Does anyone know a way to refill one of these 14 oz bottles, from say like an outdoor grill size tank?

What insulation would you guys recommend for a basement ceiling? Mainly for soundproofing. I have underlayment and also lvp in the floor above, but obviously you can still hear some noises/movement/etc. Goal is really to reduce sound coming “up” from the basement. We are planning drywall the whole ceiling but is that enough?

Sound proofing drywall? So no insulation at all?
