I bought this ADD and need to find a shop to install it. I have a 2023 TRD Off Road M/T and I believe the brakes and clutch share the same hydraulic fluid lines. I called the local 'independent' Toyota Certified shop and the guy I spoke to did not know what an accumulator was. Need a shop with experience in manual transmission Tacomas. Any reccomendations?

    EDIT

It seems its the TRD Sport that has a shared reservoir for the brake and clutch fluid.

Maybe I did a bad job explaining what I wanted done but the guy said he had never heard of a clutch accumulator before. :notsure: I guess I will just call around to transmission shops.

@davisbriant sorry, I know the thread is old, but I got the same disc and installed it myself. Pretty simple job. Removing the heat shield was half the trouble, but replacing the stock disc with a new one is easy, then just bleed the clutch. Also, there's a place in Tigard that will rent you a lift and tools by the hour: Gearheadgarage.us (no affiliation, just a satisfied customer). Just in case you wanted to tackle a DIY.

@JuniorVarsity I appreciate your follow-up! I did end up DIY-ing this install. I did not have a lift which would have helped a lot in getting the heat shield off. I did have to buy a 'breaker bar' in order to get the leverage needed to get those 'hard to reach' bolts off with my socket wrench, though. Bleeding the clutch was another learning process but wasn't too bad. It helps if you have an unlimited amount of free time and an extra vehicle for trips to the auto parts store :)

    Nice!
I found Gearhead garage when I got my 1st gen and decided to expand my skills beyond oil changes and brake pads. The taco needed a new clutch (after 240K miles on the original!). It was a tough job for me, but the owner of the place and the nice guys who sometimes hang out there were super-helpful, and we got it done. Check it out if you tackle another project.
