The mic on your GoPro is apparently not up to the task. Your audio sounds like hell. Even your in-cab audio's clipping. I imagine you can adjust the gain on the mic so it's not banging against the ceiling the whole time, though I don't have a GoPro. I googled it and it says there's an option to have standard gain and then a 20dB boost. Maybe you've got the boost on and should turn it off, record some runs again?

Anyways, it seems like you get a bit more intake noise and some more bypass valve noise, which makes sense. Yay, stutututu! I doubt there's actually any power gains; it's probably all placebo effect. Though, that's been true of intakes for years now. It's all about the fun noises at this point.

All that said, I've had an aFE intake on my '02 BMW 325Ci for the 17 years I've owned it. I quite like it. I went from an oiled filter to a Pro DRY probably eight years ago because I was sick of having to clean the MAF and the oil drips off the filter medium no matter how hard you work to get it all cleaned up. Worse, it drips on a coolant hose that runs under the airbox and the rubber does not like the oil. Dry filter solved that problem.

If I was going to buy an intake, it'd be an aFE. The one in my BMW seems constructed well and has held up for almost two decades. I doubt I'll get one for my truck any time soon, though. Not a priority..
