    What haven’t I changed?
I had time over the holidays to install some new electronics.

The headunit that I installed previously started acting up and since it had some outdated features (old maps) or features I never used (DVD player), I thought it was a good time to upgrade to one that had Carplay. I stuck with the Kenwood brand because then I wouldn't have to redo any of the wiring harnesses so it was a simple plug-and-play replacement.

The other new bit was the installation of a Wolfbox G900 front and rear dashcam. The swingouts on my rear bumper make it more difficult to use the rearview mirror so the large integrated display of the Wolfbox with a live and recorded rear video feed makes it easier to see what is directly behind me. The back of the mirror also has the front-facing camera so I don't need to have anything else stuck to the windshield.

For mounting the rear camera I decided to attach it to the top of a swingout and aimed downward, so I 3D printed a bracket for it.

The housing that the camera sits on has captive nuts in it so it should be plenty secure.

As you can see from the very first pic, the spare tire does obstruct the camera view a little bit but it's not terrible. I can also pan the image up and down as needed and the view is wide enough that I can see the swingout latch at the bottom of the video when I'm panned all the way to the bottom.

Why would I do that when I can connect my Steam deck to the head unit and play on a bigger screen?
