So much snow last 2 days. It just kept coming. I measured over 12". More out by the road, where the plow piles it right on the mailbox and driveway. My landscape guy is coming today open the driveway back up. We're trapped here, until he does. I don't mind moving a little snow, but this is just crazy. I can't even get the trash can out for pickup. Doubt if they pick up today, anyway. 30+ years here, never seen it this bad. Not much wind is a blessing. Otherwise, power would be off. We saw this coming even before we built here, so we stay stocked up with groceries, and generator propane. Be prepared, still rings true.

    Good Morning Porch Folks :hattip:.

Arrived in St. Marten late due to airplane issues but we made it .
Left the snow behind but it wasn't sunny when we landed, it was raining :rain:...but it's warm. Went out and had a pizza and a couple of beers then home to our rental, unpacked and went to bed. Long day but worth it.

Hope the weather gets better for all.:fingerscrossed:

Be careful and be safe out there folks:fistbump:.

Thanks Chuck just as long as the temperature is at least in the upper 70's. I will see if I can send some temps up North.

Got the driveway opened back up yesterday afternoon... what a mess. Had to hire part of it done... too deep for these old bones to manage. I had ~ 15" to remove before it re-froze. Need to use it to get the wife to a doctor appt. today. Deck is still missing, buried somewhere under a foot+. Trash pickup didn't happen yesterday. Frozen in place, now. Hope they can rock it loose, pick up today. Can't drag it back full, through this snow. It was buried up to the lid, sitting next to the road. I dug it, and the mailbox out and left it there.
Heard a close gunshot yesterday... looked up, Sherriff deputy shot a deer, 100yds. down the road. Probably a hunter had wounded it. In like two minutes, a pickup truck appeared, had it loaded, and was gone. Free meat!

Glad to hear you got your driveway clear of snow , clearing snow off driveways is very strenuous on your body !!

My driveway is only 24ft from the street to my garage and these last couple of winter seasons clearing my driveway of snow has kicked my a**

Welcome to a snow Maryland. Hope you do not have to drive anywhere, our state has lousy drivers and I270 is the pits.

Welcome. Due to snow we moved the rockers and ice chests inside. We might want to enclose the porch but on the spring. summer and fall days not so much. As the new guy you need to stock the cooler with the beverage of your choice.

Enjoy. Today will be partly sunny with high in the mid 80's for you. relax and enjoy.

Good morning. Snow is shoveled but I am staying inside today. The congestion is almost gone, and I need to be healthy in one month. This morning, I am making chicken soup for lunch and later on Lake Trout for dinner.

Nope, the Tacoma is sitting nice and comfortable in the garage without a snowflake on it. We live in a little walking community where virtually all shops, services, and pretty much anything else one might need to visit on a daily basis can easily be reached on foot. :)

Good morning! 31* now with a high of 54 expected here at the farm. Looks to be sunny all day. My plan is to clean out and organize the shed, make a dump run and enjoy this downtime. Just me and the dog.
    Have a wonderful Wednesday.

6 am pickleball with the hardcore group. I'm the oldest. It's a sleeper thing, if you follow my drift. After that, some donations and such.

Yesterday was Pump class and Yoga class. New folks in there. NY resolutions and all. The new lady next to me in pump lasted about a minute. Warm-up with a band, she was struggling. I told her to lower the band, go slow. She did that. The teach (she being a drill sergeant of first degree) yells out, first we will warm up some more, PIKE then NEGATIVE PUSH-UPS. Lady squeaked or something. I told her she could like many of the gals, go to her knees. POOF - she ran out the door. This lady left her class weights and room stuff in place (bad form) and just split. Well that resolution didn't hold. Hope she finds something. I didn't laugh or anything. Apparently my wife thought my story was funny. Yoga after was great, I held the yogi squat for the whole slow body assessment. Many people can't handle this pose because knee issues or hips, calves, I get this. I find it my best relaxation pose. Don't laugh. I feel better and am more flexible than when I was 33.

Last night was Fire our men's church group weekly meeting. Near 100 grown ass men supporting each other from above. Returning from the holidays
