Truck turns off when power tailgate is opened after remote start

This is a pedantic 'issue' but whenever I remote start the truck and then open the power tailgate the truck turns off. A minor annoyance I know but does anyone know a setting I can change to stop this?

I don’t know how to change it…but I experience the exact same thing. Weird and annoying. Remote start to warn up, then open the tailgate to change boots…then the thing switches off. Stupid.

Dont know the reasoning behind this,but it harkens back to the 3rd gen...when you opened the door the truck shut off.
