2019 v6 fuel pump??

2019 v6 with about 80k

So I just walked outside tonight to again hear a humming noise or a small motor noise coming from the back of the truck near the gas cap...

I assume it is the fuel pump and for whatever reason its turning on , but what would be causing this? Is this a common thing with the v6?

I fear it will just burn the pump out or worse,, of course I also worry it will run my battery down.

any ideas?

Did you get a manual book with the purchase?

As others have said probably nothing to worry about.

However, if you smell gas around the engine bay there is a fuel pump recall for that. Your 2019 is covered for 10 years regardless of mileage.
