3.4l Flywheel Bolts - Is Threadlocker Required

    2003 Dbl Cab Supercharged 3.4l 5 speed / 4x4
    Well I goofed and forgot to add threadlocker to the flywheel bolts and already got the transmission and xfer case onto the truck. If it helps they are new dealer bolts, but weren't precoated with anything. Am I ok to run as is without threadlocker or do I need to tear this thing back apart? Seems to be pretty mixed reviews about this online.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    You should probably have some sort of sealer/treadlocker on them since the holes for the bolts go all the way through and could potentially leak oil back out.

    Not what I'm looking to hear but you are probably right. Looks like I'll be pulling the transmission back out this weekend :mad:
